    DjangoCon US 2016

    Django Fundraising

A donation of $10k USD received from DEFNA.

Russell suggested that maybe the Foundation would consider hiring someone full time to do this. A cost of $8k USD would be the cost of the pilot.

Proposed we do a formal tendering process on this? Not approved by the board.

Proposed $8,500 USD for a 3 month pilot, ending at the end of January for Adrienne Lowe. The scope would be to raise $8,500 USD, but something approaching $20k USD would be fine. Approved by the board.

Suggested that we include a comment about not repeatedly contacting corporate donors and that future contracts should be lower rate and commission based.

Stacey suggested to change the fundraising page to differentiate between the fellowship and general fundraising. There is only a certain amount of money in the fund raising budget for the fellowship, so the DSF will start to have allocating money from the general funds (in November).

For the fellowship there is $2k USD in the general pool and $6.5k USD in the December pool. The rest is pending money coming in.

    Federal grant number

Stacey has started on Dun & Bradstreet number. Suggested we pay for a treasurer if funds allow? General approval from the board.

    Malcolm Tredinnick award

    Russell won, congratulations.
